Youth Program
St. John Ambulance’s Youth Services Program is a structured health-oriented program that provides young people with opportunities for social, educational and personal development through training, community service opportunities, leisure activities and participation at special events.
Medical First Responder&Disaster Response Program
Well-trained and well-equipped, St John Ambulance volunteers are at countless public events to provide basic and advanced care when emergencies occur. By being there, St. John Volunteer Medical First Responders are “first on the scene” and the “first to respond” in the critical minutes until medical assistance arrives.
Therapy Dog Program
The St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program builds on our outstanding tradition of providing expert First Aid, Health and Community Care. Established in 1992, the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program has grown to become a recognized leader in Animal-Assisted therapy. The program reaches out to thousands of people across Canada on a daily basis. The Therapy Dog Program brings comfort, joy and companionship to members of the community who are sick, lonely or reside in full-time care facilities. Clients reap the therapeutic benefits of the unconditional love of a four-legged friend.
